Despite the title being a steal from the Alison Krauss album, this is actually a blog about books and other new favorite things.

More Christopher Moore

Fluke

Like all Christopher Moore this book is fun, fun, fun. The plot is silly, the characters have personality, and the phrasing is funny.

My favorite lines "Heinous fuckery most foul."
When asked about her "I'm with Stupid" shirt, Amy says "No matter where I am or who I'm with, the smoke clears and the shirt is true."

Knit in Public

I went to Papa Murphy's pizza on Friday to pick up what I think is the most awesome take-n-bake pizza ever. The line was long, so after I ordered I perched myself in the windowsill and pulled out my knitting.

Another Great Reason to Knit in Public: You will learn that knitting has no boundries.
As I happily knit on my little bias scarf, a businessman who I would guess to be in his late 50's says to me, "It looks like you've found a nice place to wait. Is that a bias scarf?" Whoa and stop. The gentleman (and he should be regarded as such given his manners and dress) stopped me in my k2tog tracks. "Yep," I replied and scooted over to the edge of the windowsill, "It's a great place. You should have a seat." He sat and we talked favorite LYSs (he is loyal to the Wool Cabin) and projects until our pizzas were ready.
