The Next Knit-Along

Woah! Get to your LYS now so you can start on the next great thing. It's not a poncho, wrap, shawl, or felted purse. I'm sure though that we'll want to get a knit-along going. Liz's Clogs - Ready to felt

Months ago I started a pair of felted clogs. The minute I saw this project I knew it was the perfect thing to make for Liz because she is a clog afficianado. Queen of clogs. I knit the first one up whip zoom bang. The second one should have been a cinch, but for some reason it just didn't go as well. I knit it, tinked it, re-knit it, and then pulled it apart completely and knit it again. Third time was the charm though!

Liz is in town soon, so we'll do the felt and fit then. Pictures forthcoming...

Knitting Again

After a couple of months where I just didn't feel inspired to knit - I am back at it with vengance. My long-in-process felted clogs are moments away from completion, I've started a shawl, and I am finding yarn and patterns galore - now if I could just find the pattern and yarn to match.

Maybe I am knitting again because I am traveling again. This time it is off to Columbia, Missouri. Plenty of airplane and terminal time to knit and people watch. The disposable camera thing did NOT work out in New York, I ended up with many really icky pictures, so this time I am bringing my real camera so that if there is something to shoot, the picture won't suck because of the camera. Composition and lighting maybe, but it won't be the camera's fault.
